The 100 Day War includes those three months in which the Civil War came to Atlanta. The book covers the area west of Atlanta from Sandtown to Campbellton, the left flank of the Federal line as it developed along the Chattahooche River. The many raids and encroachments as well as its use as the staging area for the final victory in Atlanta is covered. As a bonus the hostilities between General's Hood and Sherman before he left on the march to the sea are highlighted.
