This pseudo-autobiographic novel describes how Allen Flint Childress a half Cherokee country boy born in 1967, climbs the educational-cultural ladder from the arid red clay hills of Louisiana and then on to Ivy League universities and HOspitals in New YOrk. there, he became a neurology resident physician at Bellevue HOspital and was embroiled in a bitter medical conflict with a senior Professor of Neurology that brought he young trainee to the brink of disaster.
