Maybe you do not want to hear that in order to find the right person God has for you, all you simply need to do is to wait on him. If these are your thoughts, it is okay. I as well as others have been there. There is a saying that has been coined from the solution-focused model of counseling. It states, If it's not working, try something else. In this same vein, I submit that if dating has left you emotionally bankrupt with a broken heart and discouragement, consider an alternative. Give up dating. Embrace a season of waiting on God and trust his timing concerning the right person he has for you. You see, finding love in all the right places is imperative if you want the right kind of love to find you. You've often heard the phraseology You cannot give what you don't have, and I add, You cannot receive it as well. If you don't know how to love in a healthy way, how can you love someone else or yourself in a healthy way? This book is about finding love first in Jesus, allowing him to heal emotional/spiritual wounds, then finding love in yourself. Until these things happen, you are not ready for the right person to come into your life. All attempts at finding love will become futile (wasting time), filled with frustrations and one disappointment after another. As you wait on God and trust his timing, you may find beautiful treasures in your season of waiting.
