This booklet covers the only coral reefs in North America and explains their importance in Florida's ecosystem.

This charmingly illustrated booklet explores Florida's coral reefs and introduces children to the plants and animals that live there. It was originally published as part of The Florida Water Story in 1998. This is one of a four part series that includes the Oceans, the Coastlines, and the Wetlands of Florida.

Peggy Sias Lantz is a native Floridian and former editor of publications for both the Florida Native Plant Society and Audubon of Florida. She has written four books and numerous articles. She lives in central Florida on the same lake where her grandfather settled in 1914 and her father grew up.
