Annette Elizabeth Clarkwas born in 1875 and, with pioneering courage, determined to make her gift for storytelling her life's work. She narrated her stories to great acclaim at events and gatherings of children, and became a very successful, much published author. She broadcast on the radio and once traveled across the Atlantic as guest of the National Girl Scouts of America, where she gave lectures in 1931.
