Unique in its approach, each of the eight chapters highlights a Hispanic cultural genre and grounds it in relevant countries of focus, such as music of the Hispanic Caribbean, Mexican film, and literary traditions, myths, and legends in Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia.Through cultural readings and business-oriented readings related to the chapter theme, students will build upon their reading skills. In addition, students will sharpen their writing skills by practicing different writing techniques presented in each chapter. Moreover, a review of key grammatical structures and Spanish orthography provides focused opportunities to polish these essential aspects of the language. As students hone their Spanish language skills, they will also develop a deeper sense of pride in their linguistic and cultural heritage.
