This book focuses on how the energetic efficiency of biofuel production systems can be modeled. It provides engineers and economists with an essential grasp of biofuel production systems performance, as it includes results of mathematical modeling and computer simulations concerning the performance of real-world biofuel production systems. The book also indicates the limitations on biofuel production's ability to ensure sustainability and the energetic self-sufficiency of agriculture, helping politicians and other decision-makers to choose between various legal and economic options.
Technologies of Biofuel Production.-  Energetic Efficiency of Fuel Production.- Mathematical Modeling of Energetic Efficiency of Production System.- Consequences of Biofuel Production.- Epilogue.Since October 2000, Andrzej Wasiak has been a Professor at Bialystok University of Technology and Coordinator of the European Commission project Centre of Sustainable Development and Environmental Management. Since 2011, he has also been a Fellow of the Committee of Production Engineering, Polish Academy of Sciences. He was also a Professor at Bialystok School of Economics - Chair of Applied Computer Science - from 2001 to 2012. His research interests include X-ray crystallography and texture analysis, correlations between the structure and properties of materials, structure formation under variable external conditions, and polymers and the environment (methods of their recycling, as well as their role in energy consumption, environmental pollution, etc.), and finally investigations on energetic efficiency of alternative energy sources. This book focuses on how the energetic efficiency of biofuel production systems can be modeled.
