Mary Leeson grew up in Notting Dale and led a comfortable secure life. She had fulfilled her ambition to become a nurse and had avoided the normal distractions of men. She hadn't had a boy friend for a few years and her past experiences hadn't led her to seeking one out. She progressed to ward sister and was happy with her job and her life until the day a patient was admitted to one of the private wards.
