Based on evidence from extensive fieldwork as well as literary sources, this thesis provides a detailed investigation into the architectural plan of late Roman villas in the provinces of Pannonia, Moesia, Dalmatia, Dacia and Thracia. The vast majority of the book presents a gazetteer of villas, illustrated with ground plans and a black-and-white photograph.
