Produced as a result of workshops held at Johnson Matthey (extraction of platinum group metals), Raychem (smart materials) and Chemoxy International (biodiesel), this book presents useful material in the form of teacher's notes and photocopiable worksheets. A different group of teachers attended each of the three workshops. They received a presentation from the company on an aspect of its work. This was followed by a brainstorming session to suggest ideas for useful learning material based on what the teachers had seen and heard. The material produced was then edited and trialled.
