About the Authors:

PATRICIA MITCHELL is chair of the Department of Leadership at the School of Education, University of San Francisco. She received her undergraduate degree from Morgan State College, a masters degree from Southern Illinois University, and her Ph.D. from the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. Dr. Mitchell received the 2015 University of San Francisco, St. Ignatian award for her exceptional service to students, the University and the community at large. This award is in recognition of creativity and commitment to the realization of the religious and moral legacy of St. Ignatian. She has authored and co-authored several inspiring and practical books on leadership.
