Pam Allenknitted her first sweater in high school: a stockinette stitch pullover with a crew neck. She is the author of several books, was editor ofInterweave Knitsfrom 2003-2007, and worked as creative director at Classic Elite Yarns, before launching Quince & Company in 2010. She lives in Portland, Maine.
