He obtained his PhD-degree at the University of Essex, UK and has published on Schopenhauer, Adorno and Merleau-Ponty, as well as on the relationship between philosophy and popular culture. Currently, he is a researcher at the 'Postwachstumskolleg' of the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, Germany.
